Martin
Dansky -- The Artist
Being
able to identify Martin's artistic temperament through his paintings
is difficult; the observer finds himself in front of paintings that
are unreal or seem to have arisen from some kind of dream state. This
is a special quality of the artist who likes to play with visual images
and relate subtle and yet effective messages with them. There is a
subtle sense of irony to be found in all of his paintings that incorporates
subjects from cityscapes to still life compositions.
The
artist incorporates some psychic elements into his figurative and
highly coloured oil paintings. There is an element of unrest in the
turmoil of some of his compact venues as well as in his less crowded
compositions.
The
viewer is attracted to specific details of the individual works of
art while getting an overall view: generally the paintings have to
be revisited more than once. Martin has already exhibited his work
in Italy, England, the Czech Republic, Canada, the U.S., and Yemen.
